I'm Cameron from the Bondi Kalimbas team and I'll be your instructor for the entirety of this course.
Today's lesson focus are tips on how to adequately maintain your Kalimba. Let’s get started.

When you’re not playing it, always store your Kalimba inside, secured within a bag or a box such as the included in your Bondi Kalimbas purchase to protect it from falls, scratches, water damage or moisture in the air.

Ensure that you always wash your hands thoroughly before playing the Kalimba as the oil and grime from your hands can build up on the Kalimba over time. Be sure to dry your hands thoroughly as getting water on the Kalimba can cause water damage such as rust.

If you noticed that the keys in your Kalimba are foggy or have a build up of grime and dirt, use a soft fabric cloth. There’s one included in your Kalimba purchase to wipe down and clean the Kalimba.

If one of the tines in your Kalimba has developed a buzzing sound, try wiggling that tine delicately, side to side in order to remove this problem.

And that concludes this lesson.
